Chris Cornell's Last Show

The man was a legend. Jerry and I were lucky enough to see him play in Detroit many a time. We saw him with his super-group Audio Slave which paired him with members of Rage Against the Machine. We saw him with his band SoundGarden on their second go around. We were lucky enough to see him twice play a solo unplugged set. And sadly, we were there for his final performance in Detroit at the Fox Theater. I took this photo during his last moments, his last chord, and his last performance on stage. I find it both incredibly beautiful, and completely depressing, at the same time. Days after his death, he was scheduled to play at Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH. The tribute, the tears, the group singing......it was powerful.
